Bill Matson has been a documentary filmmaker since 1990. His credits

documentary called 'The Authorized Biography of Crazy Horse and His
Family' based on the Crazy Horse's family history, and a three hour two
part documentary called 'The Authorized Biography of Sitting Bull By His
Great-Grandson' based on the oral history of Sitting Bull’s only surviving
great-grandson, and a 90 minute documentary on Ernie LaPointe’s struggle to
become Sitting Bull’s voice.
Crazy Horse: the Lakota Warrior’s Life and Legacy is his first book. It
took close to a decade to finish.
Matson is originally from Seattle and spent 15 years living in Portland
before moving to San Jose in 2006 for four years. He presently resides
